Soledad Rivas-Magallanes, Age 80 April 2, 1940-February 11, 2021. Soledad Rivas-Magallanes left for eternal life from her home at the age of 80 of natural causes on February 11, 2021. She was born on April 2, 1940 to Gregorio Magallanes and Asunción Rivas de Magallanes in Santa Maria de la Paz, Zacatecas, Mexico. She got married in 1958 to her husband of 51 years Pedro Rivas Rivas. She moved to San Luis Rio Colorado at the age of 19, where she happily raised all her 8 children. She fulfilled her life as a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She loved gardening, cooking, and sharing stories with her children and grandchildren. Sharing in her joy of life were her 8 children, Ramon, Samuel, Elvira Hurtado, Ernestina Estrada, Ernesto, Alejandro, Lupita Cano, and Martha Cordova. She had 23 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She is dearly missed by her family and friends.  A private family service is being held on March 1st.
