Sabrina Louise Thompson was born Sabrina Louise Thomas on January 6th, 1960, to the union of Leonard B. Thomas and Louise Thomas in Detroit, Michigan. She was raised in Detroit surrounded by family, including both her grandmothers, her grandfather, her mother, father, brother and lifelong family friends. She was baptized at the age of 12 at The Calvary Baptist Church. She graduated from Cass Tech High school in 1978, graduated from Wayne Community College in 1980 with her Associates degree in Accounting and graduated from Make-up Artist schooling in 1981 at the John Robert Powers School. She was married on July 21st, 1984 in Detroit, Michigan, in the same city where she had her 1st child. In 1986 Sabrina created her own clothing line and presented fashion shows around Detroit, Michigan. That same year Sabrina's mother went to be with the Lord and in 1987 Sabrina moved to San Diego, California with her husband, her 2 year old toddler and was pregnant with her second child. She attended the DeLoux Schools of Cosmetology in San Diego and received her manicurist license in 1988, where she practiced her nail craft until 1992. She had 3 children in total by 1992 and divorced her husband in 1997. She raised her children with a strong work ethic, receiving her bachelor's degree from National University in 2002, while working in the San Diego County court system and raising her children as a single parent. She worked and retired after 25 years in the San Diego County court system, seeing her children through college, marriage and helping support her 4 grandchildren. She was an active member of Meridian Baptist Church since the merger of Morning Star Baptist Church in the early 2000s, where she was a member since 1996. She started several programs at her church during her membership to help the local community. She directed the education department at Morning Star Baptist, created care packages for new mothers, packed backpacks and school supplies for less fortunate children and even encouraged the congregation to start meatless Mondays with her own augmented recipes to raise donations for missions work, and much more. She lived out her short retirement life in San Diego County, cooking, baking, doing her needle point, gardening and loving and supporting her children and grandchildren. She unexpectedly died in Yuma, Arizona while visiting with all of her children and grandchildren.
Sabrina Thompson is preceded in death by her mother Louise Thomas, her father Leonard B. Thomas, and her brother Leonard Thomas.
