Richard "Richie" Anthony Duran
August 15, 1960 – December 9, 2021

Richard "Richie" Anthony Duran, 61, of San Diego, California, passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2021.
Richie was born on August 15, 1960 in Yuma, Arizona, to Carlos V. Duran Sr. and Mary B. Duran.
He grew up in a large, loving close-knit family with numerous aunts, uncles,
and cousins. Richie was self-employed in the construction industry specializing in concrete masonry.
His career took him many places working for Lusardi Construction Co., Rick Fowler Construction Inc., and
Complete Property Improvements, just to name a few. Richie had a big heart lending a helping hand to
anyone in need. It was important to him to keep in touch with family and friends. He was the life of the
party and always ready to have a good time. Richie will be greatly missed leaving behind even greater
memories. Richie is preceded in death by his parents Carlos and
Mary Duran, and two brothers, Carlos V. Duran Jr. and Richard A. Duran.
Richie is survived by Ramona Jackson (Mike Jackson Sr.) of Winterhaven, California, and Micheal Duran
(Frances) of Yuma, Arizona; nephews and nieces, Mike Jackson Jr., Antonio Jackson Sr., Andreana Jackson,
Jacinda Duran, Mary Grace Duran, Jessica Duran, Jalissa Duran, Amy Duran, and many great nieces and
nephews he loved dearly. Memorial services will be held on Friday, December 17,
2021 at Desert Valley Mortuary. Viewing is from 6:00PM-9:00PM with Rosary at 7:00PM. Desert Valley
Mortuary is located at 138 N. Avenue B, Somerton, AZ 85350.
Sandi Barksdale-Burrell will be organizing a Celebration of Life in Richie's honor to be held after the holiday season.
