Norma A.
Rivera
Aug 22, 1967 — Aug 4, 2025
Yuma
Norma A. Rivera, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2025, at Banner Gateway Hospital in Gilbert, Arizona. She was 57 years old.
Born on August 22, 1967, in Salinas, California, Norma lived a life filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering dedication to her family. She was a woman of quiet strength and deep compassion — someone who always held it down for her loved ones and never hesitated to show up when it mattered most.
Norma had a heart rooted in family. She was the glue that brought everyone together, often through her incredible cooking, her warm presence, and the music she loved — especially her favorite Tex-Mex tunes. Whether it was a family party or just a Sunday afternoon, Norma made it feel like home.
She is survived by her loving husband, Noe Rivera, her children Noemi Rivera, Alejandro Rivera, and her grandson, Ezra Gaona, who brought so much joy to her life. Norma also leaves behind her siblings: Nancy Garnica, Gracie Esparza, Debra Ramirez, Art Garnica, Raul Garnica, Ruben Garnica, and Anthony Garnica — along with a large extended family of 25 nieces and nephews who adored her deeply.
Norma's words of love and protection will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew her. She often said:
"Que el Ángel de la Guardia te acompañe."
"Cuídense mucho y los amo con todo mi corazón."
— simple words that carried a lifetime of love.
She will be remembered — just as she would have wanted — through good music, good food, and family gatherings filled with laughter and love.
Norma leaves behind a legacy of strength, heart, and unity. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in every family meal, every song, and every shared memory.
