Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce that Minerva Duarte passed away Wednesday morning, January 8, 2025, at the age of 67, after a long battle with diabetes and its complications. Minerva was born in San Luis Rio Colorado Sonora on April 1, 1957, to Angela and Reynaldo Duarte, both deceased. She was a middle child of eight, Ana, Leticia, Griselda, Dolores, Raul (deceased), Altagracia and Nancy.

She married Jesus Adan Tinoco on May 22, 1981. They fulfilled the American dream of purchasing their first home in Somerton, Arizona on Sept 4, 1981, where they raised their four children Adan, Akbar, Aglael and Anibal. She was blessed with sixteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren, all of them a shining light in her eyes. She loved them unconditionally. She would do everything in her power to help her children and family, for that we will be forever indepted to her.

Minerva was a devoted home caretaker, eventually pursuing a career in childcare alongside her neighbor and best friend Sandra Aquirrebarrena. She cared for every child as if they were her own and we know she impacted the lives of not only the children but also the parents. We would hear story after story of her good deeds.

She was a funny, charismatic, elegant, beautiful and classy woman with a big heart. She was a friend to many and a great sister. She enjoyed attending the casinos with her family and good friends. We now have a void that will never be filled after her passing. WE WILL MISS YOU FOREVER.
