Obituary

Michael Phillips Dooley was born February 15, 1940 to Pat and Alta Dooley in Glendale, CA.
Michael served in the United States Navy from 1958 to 1962 as a Radarman on the USS Frank E. Evans and the USS Sutherland.
He flew for United Airlines from 1964 to 2000. He was a great pilot and captain; many have said that he was the best.
He spent the last 23 years in Yuma.
Michael is survived by his daughters, Michelle and Heather; his grandchildren, Jasper and Ila; and his siblings, Patti, Dawna, and Jim.
He was a devoted fan of jazz, and was able to listen to John Coltrane, Horace Silver, and Dave Brubeck the night he died; his love of this beautiful music lives on in his daughters and his sons-in-law.
Michael was a dreamer. He loved the desert and the Pacific Ocean.
He was loved deeply by his family.
