Our precious Megan Renee Avelar gained her angel wings on April 28, 2023. Megan was born on March 31, 2007 at 26 weeks. From the moment she was born her inner joy seemed to shine. She spent the first two months of her life in the NICU at Yuma Regional Medical Center making many loving bonds with her nurses and respiratory therapists. Everyone loved her instantaneously. Our little Miss Megan enjoyed spending time with her family. She was always positioned in the center of all the commotion and that made her the happiest. She also loved our many travels for her big brother Zach's soccer games. Another joy for Megan was her daily massages and listening to soothing bird sounds with her Grandma Caris or watching Elmo on her iPad.

Megan was known for her contagious smile, beautiful curly red hair and thick braid. S he also had the longest skinny legs that went everywhere. Her big sisters Tiffany and Emily had a way of getting the best laughs from her. She was such a brave and courageous young lady who put up an amazing fight to defy all odds. She was amazing just the way she was to everyone who met her. Megan was preceded in death by her sister Elicia Avelar, brother Isaiah Mayorquin, Nana Tina Avelar, Tata Raul, Uncle Pat and fur baby Ava.

She is survived by: Brothers: James, Christopher (Desiree), Matthew, Joshua, Anthony, Jacob, Moses, Zachary, Konner, Judah, Liam and Isaiah Sisters: Tiffany, Aundrea Rash (Josh), Katalina, Emily, Gabriella, Olivia, Alyssandra and Chloe Nieces: McKenzie Avelar-Pilkington, Laila Avelar, Emma Ventura, Natalie, Sophia and Alison Rash Nephews: Brennon, Liam and Eli Avelar Grandparents: Caris Thompson, Virgil and Peggy Thompson

We will deeply miss our precious little Angel who enriched our li ves w ith her presence.
