Mary Jimenez Grout, born July 27, 1963, in Yuma to Angel and Genevieve Jimenez, entered eternal rest on August 31, 2026.

Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be remembered for her deep faith, quiet strength, and love of family. A lifelong resident of Yuma, she served as a caregiver both professionally and personally. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she often prayed the Rosary and sought the intercession of the saints.

In her younger years, Mary played softball and enjoyed walking the track and taking her kids to the park. Those closest to her knew her quieter sense of humor and the joy she found in spending time with family. Many will remember her signature red lipstick and dark sunglasses.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond Grout; children, Christina Lamar (Mike), Angelica Beltran (James), Sara Morgan, Ronalda Roberts (Jake), Krystal Breedwell, and Joshua Grout; grandchildren, Peter, Mickey, Emma, Karisma, Annabel-lee, Serenity, Ivan, James, Remington, Jake, Fallon, and Atticus; great-grandchildren, Piper, Korbin, and Paisley; siblings, Carol Lopez (Anthony), Mike Jimenez, Roy Jimenez, Jeannie Barr (Keith), and Connie Jimenez (Jim); sister-in-law, Lupita Duarte; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, grandnieces, and grandnephews. She is also survived by Elisa Jimenez, her niece, who held a special place in her heart and whose life Mary was a strong presence in.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Maria Munoz; parents, Angel and Genevieve Jimenez; and brothers, Julian Duarte and Henry Jimenez.

Visitation will be held September 18, 2026, from 6:00–9:00 p.m. at Desert Valley Mortuary, with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held September 19, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Indian Mission, followed by interment at 12:00 p.m. at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
