Maria Lourdes
Coleman
Aug 26, 1969 — Nov 25, 2021
Kingman
Lourdes Maria Coleman (Tirado), affectionately known to all who loved her as "Luly" entered the Kingdom of Heaven on November 25 th , 2021. Luly was born on August 26, 1969, to Lourdes and Alonso Tirado in San Luis RC, Mexico. The oldest of 7 children, Luly moved to the United States in her late teens from San Luis, Mexico. She graduated from Yuma High School and later obtained her 2-year degree in Early Child Development from Arizona Western College.
Throughout her life, Luly dabbled in many different interests, each of which she excelled. A self-taught chef, Luly could create a gourmet meal with whatever was available in the pantry and refrigerator. Feeding her loved ones was a joy for her, and obviously a joy for those who got to experience her mastery in the kitchen. Rumor has it that in her Kingman neighborhood, she even fed the neighbors. Quintessential Luly!
Luly also was quite an artist. She never received formal training, but you could experience how and what she saw in the world through her paintings and drawings of nature and people.
Luly felt a calling for service to God and was interested in becoming a Nun. Her deep love and admiration for her Church family guided her in this direction. She did not complete the training but continued in her faith throughout her life.
It was evident that Luly was at her happiest when around family. Since her move to Kingman, it was less often, but she made up for it with filling her time surrounded by those who she loved and cherished the most. Never more than an arms-length away from her mother Lourdes, you could sense her love and happiness when she spent her time in Yuma. Her many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews looked forward to these visits, because Luly had a big personality, only to be rivaled by her big heart for those she loved.
In July of 2013, Luly married Roger Coleman in Globe, AZ and they settled in Kingman, Arizona. Roger passed away 2 days after the passing of Luly.
Luly leaves behind her father (Alonso) and Mother (Lourdes), her brothers Alonso, Jorge, Jezrahel, and David and her sisters Monica and Geraldine, as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins and in-laws, who now have a large void in their hearts, but are comforted in having had Luly in their life and knowing that she just made heaven a better place.
