Karen Marsha Thomas was born on October 13, 1972, and entered eternal rest on April 15, 2026, surrounded by family and friends. She was born to Bruce Christman Thomas and Irene Thomas.
Karen was a caring, loving, and supportive grandmother, mother, sister, Aunt, cousin, and friend. She will be deeply missed for her contagious laugh and the warmth of her smile. Throughout her life, Karen held numerous jobs, always working hard to provide and care for those she loved.
Karen is preceded in death by her mother, Irene Thomas; her father, Bruce Thomas; her grandmother, Mary Thomas; her uncle, Farlon Thomas; her son, Rafael Hayes Jr.; and her brothers, Victor Hayes Jr. and Daren Thomas.
She leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Joeziph, Andrew Jr. Thomas, Aleizah Thomas, Eevee, and D'metria Hayes; her daughter, Katia Lawerence; and her sons, Andrew B. Thomas, Carlos M. Hayes (Sarah), and Darnell Q. Thomas.
She is also survived by her sisters, Lorena Phillips, Courtney Phillips, Jessica Hayes (Theodore), and Valerie Hayes (John); and her brothers, Dwayne Thomas (Kaci) and Jesse Hayes Sr. Numerous nieces and nephews, and her Best Friend Collette Phillips.
We love you, Mom, to the moon and back. We will always carry you in our hearts, Kuddee Pie.
