Juan Carlos García, 55, of Yuma Arizona died on October 29, 2021 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona.

Born September 07, 1966 in San Luis, Rio Colorado, Sonora, Mexico and raised in Somerton, Arizona. He graduated from Kofa High School in 1986. After graduating from high school he became a mechanic,  working in several business in the Yuma area.

In  1995, Juan graduated as a peace officer for the State of Arizona.  For the next seven years, Juan worked as a Police Officer for the Cocopah Police  Department and the Somerton Police Department.  He held several task force positions, most notably as a narcotics officer with the Southwest Border Alliance Task force (SBA).

In 2001, Juan joined the Federal Government, graduating from the United States Border Patrol academy as a member of the 479th graduating class. Following  his graduation Juan was assigned to the El Centro Border Patrol Sector. While working for El Centro Border Patrol he held many positions within the Border Patrol.

In 2008, Juan transferred to the US Border Patrol Yuma Sector as an Intel agent. Juan retired from the US Border Patrol on July 31, 2021.

Juan enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle side by side with his fellow Border Patrol agents.  He liked spending the rest of his time with his family, barbecuing for his kids and grandkids.

Occasionally he enjoyed a nice cold beer with the love of his life Martha.

He is survived by his wife Martha, children Juan Carlos Jr., Emmanuel and daughter Arianna, his two grandkids Juan Carlos and Valentina, mother Angelina and brothers, Guillermo, Gerardo, Luis, Eduardo, Victor sisters Martha and Gabriela. He is preceded by his father Jesus and bother Gregorio.

There will be a visitation for Juan at Desert Valley Mortuary on Sunday, November 7, 2021 from 5pm though 9pm.

Funeral mass will be on November 8, 2021 at 10:30 am @ St. Francis Catholic Church.

Funeral services will be following the mass between 11:30am and 12 pm at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
