Jose Guadalupe
Urzua
Feb 12, 1923 — Dec 21, 2022
Somerton
Jose Guadalupe Urzua, also known as "Don Lupe" – dedicated father of 8, loving grandfather, and a friend to many - passed away peacefully on December 21, 2022 at the age of 99 in Somerton, Arizona. He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren.
Jose Guadalupe was born to Camilo and Juanita Urzua in Tepatitlan, Jalisco, and immigrated alongside his children and settled in Somerton, Arizona in 1970 shortly after the death of his beloved wife, Paula.
He worked in various companies in Yuma throughout the years, including Peanut Patch and Bob Fram Farms. After retirement, "Don Lupe" could be found walking around town socializing. He was a stranger to no one in Somerton.
Our father was a hardworking man with amazing work ethic. He was brilliant in his conversations and had a great sense of humor. He was respectful and loving towards his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
He is survived in death by his children Juan Urzua, Ester Adame, Rosario Castellanos, Rafael Urzua, Olivia Urzua, Martina Rojas, and Leobardo Urzua.
Rest in peace beloved father. Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.
"The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised."
