Johnnie Gill, aged 69, passed away on June 27, 2024, in Yuma, Arizona. Born in Yuma on April 8, 1955, Johnnie lived a life marked by his charismatic and loving nature. Known for his unique laugh and strong, patient demeanor, he was a pillar of support and understanding to all who knew him.

Johnnie attended Kofa High School, where he began forming lifelong relationships and laying the foundations for a future filled with love and laughter. He was a devoted family man, cherishing time spent with his loved ones, whether it was hosting barbecues, enjoying music, or simply being together with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Guadalupe, and their children, Cesar (Silvia), Joaquin (Maria), Johnnie Jr., Edward (Jannette), Carolina (Jorge), and Anthony (Jezzy). Johnnie was a proud grandfather to 21 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his siblings, Edward, Pearl, and Dora. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Lydia, and his sister, Mary Lou.

Visitation will be held at 5:30 p.m. on July 5, 2024, at Desert Valley Mortuary in Somerton, Arizona. A Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. on July 6, 2024, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Desert Valley Mortuary is assisting the family during this time.
