John Richard Hancock, age 70, passed away at home on November 24, 2022 after his battle with cancer with his loving wife of 26 years, Laryl, by his side. He was born September 1, 1952 in Paxton, Illinois.

John worked in the food industry his entire life; from Sir George's Buffett/Tom Tates to The Crossing to Cocopah Casino and more. If anyone knew John they knew he loved food.

John is survived by his wife Laryl, daughters Jessica Raney, Lena Haygood, Mary Beth Schleicher, Rachel Mortenson, sons Christopher Hancock, Michael Berry, granddaughter Taylor Morales, grandsons Mason Stockton, Jacob and Adam Raney, Ethan, Evan and Easton Haygood, and great grandson Zane Morales. He is proceeded in death by daughter Deana Stockton.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Yuma.
