In Loving Memory of Jesus Vidal

†††

It is with profound sadness, we announce the passing of Jesus Rafael Vidal, age 56. He went to be with the Lord on March 10th, 2025, surrounded by family and loved ones.

Born on August 10th, 1968, in San Luis Rio Colorado Sonora, Mexico, Jesus immigrated to the United States with his family at the age of 9. As the oldest male in the family, he embraced the role of protector. He was always there to look out for his sisters and care for his younger brothers. Known for his hard work & determination, Jesus took great pride in earning everything he achieved, to include the countless salesman of the year awards. His work ethic inspired many, and he mentored countless individuals who admired his commitment. He motivated others to put forth their best effort, and those who learned from him often said they inherited their drive from him.

A devoted father and family man, Jesus was an active presence in the lives of his two sons, Adam and Andrew, as well as his many godsons and many goddaughters. He could always be counted on to drive them to sports practices, attend games, or offer support in any way he could, in motivating them with his life stories. Always making others laugh and find the shining light in their problems. His influence as a father and father figure will be felt by all who knew him.

In his personal life, Jesus took great pride in his home and was always the first to tackle any work around the house, from fixing things to starting new projects — and he did it all on without professional help. Alicia, his ever-supportive wife, was always by his side, whether they were fixing the tile for the 100th time, relaxing together, watching TV, having game nights, camping, or heading out on Can-Am rides with friends. They shared a lot of laughs, especially when Jesus' competitive side came out. Whether it was golf, backyard games, or even deciding who got the last slice of pizza, he was in it to win it. But no matter how intense the competition, his love for his family was always front and center, showing that even the most competitive spirit could never outshine his devotion.

Many will tell you that their favorite experience with Jesus was deciding what to have for lunch. He'd kick things off with, "I'm good for anything you're in the mood for!" — only to end up eating at one of his five go-to restaurants. It was like a game of lunch roulette, but somehow, he always knew where he wanted to go!

A devout Catholic, Jesus lived his faith in his daily life, upholding the values of love, hard work, and service. He was a perfectionist, sometimes to a fault, but it was his attention to detail that made everything he did meaningful and impactful.

Jesus had a long and respected career in agriculture, Starting with Royal Sluis, Seminis, Monsanto and ending his long career with Keithly-Williams Seeds. He loved his job and strived to always learn more as things progressed in the industry. Throughout his career he became well-known among his peers for his knowledge and work ethic.

He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Alicia; their two sons, Adam and Andrew; and his grandson. He is also survived by his loving parents, Rafael and Gloria Vidal, his sisters: Cathy, Gloria, Martha (Frank), and Elena (John); and his brother, Chris (Allison). He is also preceded in death by his younger brother Richard. Jesus will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those who were fortunate to know him. His legacy of hard work, love, and dedication will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him.
