Jesus Daniel Ortiz AKA: "Cachuy", "Cara de Leon", "Chicano Power" passed away in his loving home on July 5, 2023. He was born in San Luis Rio Colorado on January 12, 1978 but raised and lived in Somerton, Az "La Mesa". He is survived by his wife of over 40+ years, a son, and 3 daughters who gave him wonderful grandchildren. Jesus was one of the good one's for sure. Jesus was always a family man whose simplicity was just contagious. He would always be your shoulder to cry on and the one who provided that unjudgmental advice. He was the best husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, and friend anyone could ask for. Jesus was known by many people throughout Yuma County and had friendships that go back to his childhood years. Jesus was the man when it came to art, woodwork and building things. He truly had a gift and was extremely talented. He has left at his home a museum of his art for his family to carry on and continue to use and maintain for him. Jesus loved to travel and be spontaneous. He was the type where if there was free time, he would just wash his truck, get the keys, and tell the family to get in and to go for a drive. A lot of those drives led to many adventures, camping trips, exploring and many more beautiful experiences. Every day Jesus would put music at home and just vibe and remember the old times. Jesus my dad, was a man I hope to grow up to be. He has taught me so much in life and how I wish I could still have him to continue to make him proud. He was my number one fan when it came to work and accomplishments. He always worried about his family and just made you feel better by his presence. Jesus was jokester and always loved to make people laugh. His joy came from seeing his family happy.
