Jesus Ortiz

On behalf of his children, his mother, and his siblings, it is with profound sadness that our family shares the passing of our father, Jesus Ortiz. He passed peacefully with close family by his side on September 18th.

Jesus Ortiz was born on July 15, 1973, in Mexicali and spent his life working as an electrician. Most importantly, he was known above all as a beloved friend, father, Tata, brother, and son.

Jesus is survived by his mother, Maria Olga Ortiz (Maya); his sons, Daniel Ortiz (Amanda) and Jesus Ortiz Jr.; his daughters, Jessica Ortiz-Rosas (Andrew) and Jasmine Ortiz-Cornell (Gabriel); his brother, Ramon Maya (Lizeth); and his sister, Elizabeth Maya-Bravo (Marco). He also leaves behind seven grandchildren, who were an important part of his life and legacy.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, October 1st, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Desert Valley Mortuary. A Funeral Mass will follow on Friday, October 3rd, at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Through this extremely difficult time for our family, we have come to see just how deeply Jesus was loved by so many. We are grateful for the kindness, support, prayers, and memories shared by everyone whose life he touched. His memory will forever live on through his family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
