Eugene Tutell, 65, peacefully finished his race and went home to the Lord on January 4, 2021 while surrounded by family at his home in Yuma, Arizona.  Gene was born on October 12, 1955, in Phoenix, Arizona, to George and Augusta Joan Tutell.

He served four years in the United States Army where he discovered his passion for fire service.  After fulfilling commitment to the Army he served as a civilian fire fighter at YPG eventually moving to the City of Yuma Fire Department becoming one badass Captain and Paramedic whose reputation remained years after retirement.  Gene was also a master craftsman and took part in building many of the custom houses though out the city.  In short, there was essentially nothing that Gene Tutell could not do nor figure out.

He was proud of his family and especially loved his grandchildren Gavin, Joei, Trent and Dani.  Gene is survived by his wife Debbie Tutell, siblings Curt Tutell and Anna Wielichowski, son and daughter-in-law Seth and Amy Tutell, son-in-law and daughter Matt and Shawna Mathias, and his grandchildren.
