Filiberto Macias
Jr.
Feb 16, 1963 — Sep 16, 2020
Yuma
Filiberto Macias, Jr. , known as Tio Junior, monstro, dad, and Julis was the most loving, fun, genuine, and loyal person. He gave 20 years of duty working in the Arizona Department of Corrections, and he retired as a Sergeant.
Born on February 16, 1963 to Guadalupe and Filiberto Macias, he was the 8th child among his brothers and sisters. Ever since he was a child, his brain was like an encyclopedia, he knew the answer to everything and anything. If you asked him a question, expect a google like answer. As he grew as an adult, he never took the kid out of him. He remained a kid at heart with his love for Star Wars, superhero movies, Mortal Kombat, and crossword puzzles. He showed this fun and friendly side each time he babysat and spoiled his nieces and nephews.
As an uncle, he was the coolest uncle you could ever have. He was the uncle that would stay up late to watch movies with you, he was the uncle that would take you to the store at whatever time it was, he was the uncle that you were proud and excited to show off to your friends, he was the uncle that turned a simple family function into a party with his jokes and smart-mouth.
As a brother, you couldn't have asked for a better friend, partner in crime, babysitter, and was the most loyal, kindest, genuine brother. If there was anything he could do for his brothers or sisters he would not hesitate, he was always there. He was the brother that taught his sisters how to cook and shared his best recipes. He enjoyed cooking his best dishes to his siblings.
Last but not least, as a son, he was the most caring and loving son. He took care of his mother up until her very last days. It wouldn't matter how much or what it would take to take care of his mother. Not only did he give his love and care to his mother, but to his kids Liz and Adam and his best friend, his pet Boomer. His mother, his kids, and his dog were his light until the end of his days. Tio Junior, monstro, Beto, Julis you will forever be missed.
