Erika Socorro
Barcenas
Dec 1, 1973 — Dec 22, 2020
Yuma
Erika was a remarkable wife, mother, and grandmother, that helped everyone around her. She would make friends that lasted a lifetime.
She was born in Tuxpan, Nayarit in 1973 and raised in San Luis Rio Colorado. Her mother Teresa came here to improve their way of life. She lived there with her 3 brothers and sister, Martin, Liliana, Ricardo and William.
I met Erika at a school dance at one the local Discotheques (the OK fans club) in 1990 and dated for approximately 4 years. We married in 1994 and had our Son Edwin in 1995 and a few years later we had Adilenne in 1998. She was dedicated to her children and home until her children were in high school. She was the heart and soul of our home, always looking into the future.
After our children got a little bigger Erika began thinking of beginning a hobby. She never thought that it would become her passion. She started her home base business Delightful Memories where she created so many smiles with her beautiful cake creations. All self-taught from the University of the internet. She spent countless hours and weekends trying to make every cake a loving memory.
In 2013 she was given a beautiful surprise with our first grandchild Kailani. In 2015 our second grandchild Alexander was born. These two beautiful children enveloped her entire world, her love and dedication to them was undeniable.
Erika was an incredibly strong willed, loving, and caring woman she provided a sense of peace and comfort with just one hug. Erika would try and give the best advice to anyone that needed it without hesitation. We all know in our hearts that you are in a better place where you will help others whether by providing guidance in times of need or giving them the nudge, they need to succeed in life. You will forever be in our hearts.
You will forever love us one more than we love you.
