Eric W. Jim of Somerton, Arizona, passed away on September 7, 2026 at the age of 55. He was born on August 20, 1971.

Eric was a stay at home father and grandfather. In the months before his passing, he took care of his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and he loved them all very much.

He is survived by his wife Sheila A. Stevens, sons Pedro C. Jim, Eric C. Jim, daughters Heather S. Stevens, Jacklyn Cesina, Brittany L. Jim, Dakota Jim and 16 grandchildren; aunt Irene Sharkey; and siblings, brother John Stevens III, sisters Gearldine Daychild, Velda Stevens, Donna Soto, also numerous aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his mother Priscilla L. Jim, father Pedro Jim Sr., brother Pedro D. Jim, and his daughter Erica Jim. Grandparents Tom and Emma Hart.

Pallbearers Dale Jim Sr., Dale Jim Jr., Sage Jim, JoJo Jim, Brandon Phillips, Chester Stevens, Robert Thomas Jr., Hunter Hemmers, Frankie Hemmers, Gabe Salazar, Jesse Salazar, Kai San Diego, and numerous family and friends.

Tribal Rites will take place on the West Cocopah Reservation in Somerton, Arizona. On October 1, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Cremation will be held Friday, October 2, 2026 at 5:00 a.m. at the West Cocopah Cry House in Somerton, Arizona. Arrangements will be handled by Desert Valley Mortuary.
