Emerita, a beloved mother and grandmother, was welcomed into the Lord's presence on February 10, 2026, at the age of 89, in Yuma, Arizona. She was born in Moyahua, Zacatecas, Mexico, on January 25, 1937. She was raised in Mexico and migrated to California in 1969 and in 1981 relocated to Arizona.

Emerita lived a life dedicated to her family and faith in God. She was an independent provider with a steadfast determination to raise her children. For many years, due to her strong work ethic and perseverance, she worked in agriculture to provide for her family as a single mother. She will be remembered for her many sacrifices, loyalty and commitment to her family. Emerita prided herself in obtaining U.S. Citizenship and independently purchasing her home and paying it in full; however, she was known to have often stated, that her proudest accomplishment was having successfully raised her children and committing her life to our Lord Jesus Christ. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, strength, perseverance and a family who loved and cherished her.
