Elvira Lydia
Galindo
Jul 12, 1935 — May 28, 2020
Yuma
Elvira Lydia Galindo was born on July 12,1935 in Yuma, Arizona, but was raised in Dome Valley. She was the oldest of five siblings. Even in her younger years, she was a mother figure to her sisters and brother. Mom worked hard all her life. Even if it meant working multiple jobs, she made sure we had a roof over our heads and food on the table. She didn't learn to drive until her late thirties, but she didn't let that stop her from loading us all into the station wagon to go to the drive-in movies. We were always the very first people there and the last to leave. Mom was a beautiful, amazing, strong-willed, stubborn woman and family meant everything to her. She loved driving around town going to stores and she made friends everywhere she went. Some of her favorite things included a kitchen fully decorated with roosters, purses, tortillas tostaditas, and a house filled with all of her family and friends. Although gone, Mom will never be forgotten
