Dinnie Roselin
Hamlet
Dec 11, 1934 — Dec 9, 2021
Yuma
Our beloved mom, Dinnie Roselin Hamlet was born on the beautiful Eastern Caribbean Island of Dominica, in the small village of Marigot. Dinnie was born to the parents of Leehunt Hamlet and Mary Rose (Decelia) Baptist on December 11, 1934. Our mom left Dominica and migrated to the Island of St. Croix ( United States Virgin Islands ), in the late 1960's to begin a new journey for herself. She is survived by one son and two daughters, three granddaughters, two nieces and two nephews and two great grandsons. Dinnie had a strong foundation and devotion to her Lord Jesus Christ, and this faith strongly influenced her children to continue to be devoted to our Lord Jesus Christ. Our mom was a self-sufficient homemaker who used her talents to make provisions to sell within her community to provide for her family through out the years. Our mom also worked as a care taker, custodian, and a Sunday School Teacher. Our mom was an excellent seamstress, an excellent baker and was well versed in her Bible, as well as memorizing many of the psalms and verses of the Bible. You could ask Dinnie where is a certain Bible verse, and she would be able to show you on the spot. Dinnie was very much loved and respected by the youth's in her community for advising, being a good listener, and mentoring the children to better themselves as a person, to stay out of trouble so they can have a better tomorrow. Many of the Islanders will always remember her fresh fried pate's and her fresh baked potato pudding.
Dinnie our mother will always be loved and her memories will forever be in our hearts, to God be the Glory.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures;
He leadeth me beside still waters.
He restoreth my soul;
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake;
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil; for Thou art with me;
Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me;
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies;
Thou anointest my head with oil, my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord, forever. - Psalm 23
