Diana Karina Robles Lizárraga

April 20, 1994 – September 12, 2022

Diana Karina Robles, 28, of Yuma passed away on September 12, 2022 in a tragic accident while on vacation in Ouray, CO.

Diana Karina was born on April 20, 1994 to Martin Robles and Maria Trinidad Lizárraga in Hermosillo, Sonora, México. After graduating from Cochise College in 2015 with a Nursing Degree, Diana got a work visa and moved to Yuma, AZ to start working at Yuma Regional Medical Center. She was an RN for 7 years.

Diana Karina was a devout Christian and loved God above all. She attended First Baptist Church in Douglas, AZ throughout her childhood with Pastors Jorge and Ernestina Herrera, and then attended Stone Ridge Church in Yuma with Pastor Sam Norris and Pastor Tom Burks.

Diana loved nursing. She worked hard and she was proud of her accomplishments. She loved caring for her patients. She loved her coworkers, who were like a second family, and enjoyed teaching young nurses. She was patient, kind and invested in their learning.

Diana loved her family. She often came home to Agua Prieta and was proud of her heritage. She loved fixing stuff with her dad, asking her mom for advice, learning about pop culture from her sister, and making coffee with her brother. Diana was adventurous, always planning trips with her cousins. Her favorite place was the beach.

Diana loved Benni, her furry "child." She loved Benni so much she brought Loki into his life for companionship. She loved her home. Diana enjoyed building a safe space to love and be with others she loved. She loved sleeping in and staying up late in her house. She always said she was an old soul who would rather stay in and binge-watch a Netflix show than go out, except for Thursdays. Thursdays were for Karaoke night and her best friends.

Diana Karina is survived by her parents, Martin Robles and Maria Lizarraga, her sister Ammi Robles and her brother Haziel Robles, all of Agua Prieta, Sonora. She is also survived by her grandparents, numerous uncles, aunts and many cousins. She leaves behind her YRMC friends that were her second family.

The family requests that flowers be sent to Desert Valley Mortuary.

Visitation will be at Desert Valley Mortuary, 138 S Avenue B, Somerton, AZ 85350., on Sunday, September 25, 2022 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Mass will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Church 1815 S. 8th Ave., on Monday, September 26, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. Final resting place will be at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 1415 S 1st Ave.
