Daren Thomas, born August 17, 1971, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026. He was born and raised in Yuma, Arizona, and grew up on the East Cocopah Reservation.

Daren was a quiet man, but those who knew him understood his deep loyalty, love, and compassion. Above all, he cherished his nieces and nephews and took great pride in each of them.

He was preceded in death by his father, Darrell D. Thomas; his mother, Irene Thomas; his uncle, Ronnie Thomas; his cousin, Theresa Thomas; his brother, Victor Hayes Jr.; and his nephew, Rafael Hayes Jr.

He is survived by his brothers, Dwayne Thomas, Adam Thomas, and Jesse Hayes Sr.; and his sisters, Deanna Thomas, Karen Thomas, Elena Thomas, Allison Thomas, Jessica Hayes, and Valerie Hayes.
